How to find a suitable violin.

Headline Suchkriterien

For any violin player, from beginner to professional, purchasing a new instrument can be a challenging task.

Finding the right violin that meets your expectations for tone and playability and supports your technique progress is key to your overall development as a musician.
A good instrument goes a long way toward helping you develop not only your skills, but also your enjoyment of playing the violin.

To help you navigate through the many choices on the current stringed instrument market, we've compiled some points to keep in mind as you search for your ideal violin.

Choose the right violin for your playing level.

When choosing the right violin, it is important to consider your skill level. Just like players, violins have different specifications that cater to your needs at different stages of your musical journey.

Tailoring your violin to your playing level will improve both your performance and that of the instrument. It helps you reach your full potential.

Our tips to consider when choosing the right instrument.

Beginner

Beginner violins are usually built strong enough to withstand the rigors that a beginner will undoubtedly put the instrument through. They are designed to include features that will assist you in your learning journey.

Our Menuet and Audition violin series are the ideal choice for beginning violinists. The Audition model series violins are equipped with Wittner fine tuning pegs that make tuning very easy and keep your violin in tune at all times. This makes the whole experience incredibly enjoyable for less experienced players.

Advanced beginners

Advanced violins are usually made of better quality wood, which generally improves the sound, but also slightly increases the price of the instrument.

Our classic and most popular line, the Metropol violin model, is perfect for intermediate level players. Metropol violins have the features of professional instruments and an extremely balanced sound at a reasonable price.

Advanced players

The sound of professional violins cannot be compared to virtually any other type of violin. If you are a very advanced violinist, we recommend you consider our Cantonate and Golden State violin series, both of which have exceptional craftsmanship and tonal balance.

A violin made of good materials with craftsmanship.

The quality of the materials that make up your new instrument, combined with the level of craftsmanship, are some of the most important factors to consider when choosing a violin. Both contribute significantly to the overall quality and sound of the instrument.

A poorly constructed violin is difficult to play and hard to tune. This directly affects your potential, makes it difficult to expand your skills as a musician, and accordingly affects your performance.

All of our violins are made from high quality materials that are responsibly sourced and from certified wood origins. We mainly use maple wood of Bosnian origin for the back and neck of the violin. The top of the violin is made of spruce, which comes from the European highlands such as the Alps and the like.

When selecting materials for our instruments, we take great care to ensure the best possible sound quality.
